UI Developer

Location: Maitland, Florida


Position Overview:

The UI Developer will translate UI/UX wireframes to working user interfaces. The best fit candidate should have extensive experience with HTML, CSS, and Javascript, as they will be responsible for building all the user-facing web pages and product features for your team. This is a great opportunity for problem solvers, who are comfortable working with ambiguity and enjoy the process of wireframing, building functional prototypes, and creating constantly evolving products. As a tech-savvy and creative UI developer, the candidate must understand how to effectively balance the needs of the user while optimizing for conversion, retention, or other business metrics. Also, the candidate should be comfortable using data to inform UI decisions and experienced working in an extremely agile work environment, where quick delivery, constant testing and iteration is the norm.  In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a real impact on the business and increase your knowledge of newer technologies, conversion testing, usability and end-to-end user interaction design.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Coding – Build HTML, CSS, Javascript for user facing web pages and product features
  • UX –Develop process flows and wireframes to effectively conceptualize and communicate high-level UX strategies and detailed interaction behaviors, as well as conduct user research and usability testing to inform/validate UI decisions
  • Work collaboratively with engineers, product managers, executives, and other designers to build scalable solutions to improve the user experience
  • Architecting UI solutions and building reusable UI components
  • Translate wireframes into working UI code that can be used by developers to integrate with the application business layer
  • Ability to work with both Java developers and UI/UX developers across multiple projects
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to present ideas and suggestions clearly


  • 5+ years designing for the web and mobile
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Excellent CSS / HTML / Javascript / JQuery skills
  • Experience with JSP
  • Experience with Photoshop
  • Understanding of UX design principles
  • Experience building SEO driven websites
  • Experience with conversion testing and landing page/funnel optimization
  • Strong interest in usability testing and performance metrics
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Extreme attention to detail
  • Experience with Agile/SCRUM process
  • Experience with lead generation or education a plus
