Tour de Cure 2015

Team Digital Risk Triumphs at Tour de Cure!

Team Digital Risk has done it again! For the fourth year running, D-Riskers rallied to support the American Diabetes Association (ADA) through the Orlando Tour de Cure. In total, Digital Risk has raised over $30,000 and cycled over 500 miles throughout four years for ADA!

For the 2015 Tour de Cure, team captains Ryan Donelson and Mary Buczkowski organized several fundraising activities, including Jeans For a Cause Days, bake sales and raffles. In fact, one of the company leaders raffled off his VIP Parking Space in a Maitland office raffle.

In an interesting side note, President & Managing Partner Omar Quddus and Supervisor of Internal Communications Ryan Donelson achieved Tour de Cure Champion Status, each raising over $1,000 for ADA. Thus, these two D-Riskers won special jerseys and medals. Omar and Ryan rode neck-and-neck throughout the fundraising process, with Omar taking the win and beating out Ryan by $300. Out of the thousands of riders at Orlando’s Tour de Cure, only 100 reached this VIP status.

“It was great to have the opportunity to step up and become one of the captains for this year’s ride,” Ryan said. “This is a cause close to my heart, as Diabetes has impacted my family and I know many of my friends and co-workers as well. It was an inspiration to see the entire company come together for one cause and the generosity displayed, providing donations that will go towards life-saving research and education.”

Tour de Cure is a series of fundraising cycling events held in 44 states nationwide to benefit the American Diabetes Association, a non-profit that funds research to prevent, cure and manage diabetes; delivers services to hundreds of communities; provides objective and credible information; and gives voice to those denied their rights because of diabetes.
