Digital Risk is ecstatic to share that our P4 Mentor Program Mentees celebrated their graduation on Thursday!
Mentees participating in the P4 (Preparing Protégés through Professional Partnerships) Mentor Program had to successfully complete this six-month leadership program and participate in all program activities, including mentoring sessions, classroom instruction, a community service project, a leadership book report and more.
At the graduation, mentors and mentees were greeted by Chief Operating Officer Omar Quddus, who gave a few words of congratulations and encouragement, and by Supervisor, Human Resource and Program Manager Amy Huff, who gave compelling opening and closing remarks.
“I’m beyond proud of all the mentees who participated in the program. They started out as a group of people and over the six month program developed into a highly functional team.” says Amy Huff.
Throughout the past six months, mentors and mentees participated in a program kickoff, personality assessment and discussion, weekly mentoring sessions, a volunteer activity at Orlando’s Freedom Ride, and tremendously valuable growth and learning. New friendships were forged and existing relationships were strengthened. Self-discovery and personal growth were common themes felt by all participants.
I encourage everyone to mentor someone or seek out a mentor who you look up to. Remember, you don’t always need to have a formal program like Digital Risk’s P4 Mentorship to do so. I have had many mentors and mentees throughout my career and have found benefits from both. You will be surprised at how much you will learn from one another, make each other better and grow from your shared experiences. I am huge proponent of this mentorship program and encourage you to get involved if you find the opportunity. – Omar Quddus
And here’s some great news: We’re starting our second P4 Mentor Program in September 2014, so many more inspiring stories to come!
The P4 Mentor Program is a company wide initiative created to help high-potential D-Riskers in their professional and personal development by pairing them with Digital Risk leaders as their Mentors.
